Academy Program (Year 7-9)
The Academy Program enriches and challenges high-achieving Years 7-9 students through a tailored curriculum, aligning with the College vision of 'Real Learning for the world of tomorrow'. It fosters critical thinking, problem solving, resilience, and passion for learning. Students engage with an innovative curriculum, setting high standards for excellence and empowering outstanding academic success. This equips them with a strong academic foundation and skills to confidently navigate senior secondary pathways and post-schooling options.
The Academy Program was launched in 2025 for Year 7 and will continue in 2026 for Year 7 and 8 students. The first class of Year 9 will occur in 2027.
Learning Pathways
There are two learning pathways offered in the Academy Program. The program is intended as a three-year course of study, with students engaged in the Academy from Year 7 – 9. The curriculum program offered provides enrichment in specific Academy subjects as outlined below. Students will also engage with the core curriculum in areas outside of the academy subjects.
- English and Humanities Academy: English, History, Geography, Economics and Business, Civics and Citizenship.
- STEM Academy: Science, Technology and Engineering, Mathematics
Application Process
The Academy Program is a selective entry program. The entry process for 2026 enrolment involves the following stages:

* Students applying for both Academy programs will need to attend two testing days. This day may also be used to accommodate high numbers of applicants.
In 2026, the Academy Program is limited to one class for each of 'English and Humanities' and 'STEM'. Acceptance into the program will be decided upon based on the selection criteria included in the relevant applications.
Students can apply for one or both of the Academy Program learning pathways on offer for 2026. If applying for both learning pathways, students will need to submit both applications, and indicate this clearly in the relevant section of the application, including their preferred option. Through the selection process, successful applicants who applied for both programs will be offered only one position in an Academy Program.
The application process opens Wednesday 30 April 2025. Applications close Monday 16 June 2025.
