Future Scholars aims to build adaptable, resilient learners through igniting curiosity in critical local and global contexts. Students will engage in deeply collaborative experiences, developing problem-solving, critical and creative thinking, and self-reflection, towards personal goals and pathways for tomorrow.
Future Scholars offers:
- Opportunities to engage with design thinking and problem solving through academically challenging curriculum
- Increased leveraging of digital environments by combining inquiry with technology and joining global environments
- Solving REAL world issues through projects and learning experiences within the community, extra-curricular events and national competitions
- Collaborative and community teaching and learning with involvement in local and national networks
Entrance into Future Scholars: Waitlist Only
Please note that application for Future Scholars is open for waitlisting only, for students currently enrolled at the College. Waitlisting is for enrolment into current classes if a position becomes available.
- Entry into Year 7, 8 or 9 2024
- Entry into Year 8 or 9 2025
The College adheres to a maximum class size of 28 students for Future Scholars. Offers of placement are subject to positions becoming available in current classes.
All students applying for the waitlist for Future Scholars must submit an Expression of Interest and digital entry project. The results from academic and NAPLAN results, and applicant endorsement will be considered when shortlisting students if positions become available in current classes.
2024 will be the final year of Future Scholars for Year 7 students. Students currently enrolled in Future Scholars will continue the course through to the end of Year 9, with the final year of Year 9 offered in 2026.
Students new to the College in 2025 are encouraged to review the new Academy Program open for application for Year 7 2025.
